Bridge

Canonical bridge to Ethereum

MAYA CHAIN's canonical bridge moves M3G and ERC-20 tokens between Ethereum mainnet and MAYA CHAIN. The easiest path is the MayaScan Bridge.

DirectionStepsTime
Deposit (Ethereum → MAYA CHAIN)1–3 transactions on EthereumAbout 15–20 minutes (waits for Ethereum finality)
Withdrawal (MAYA CHAIN → Ethereum)1 tx on MAYA CHAIN, then 1 claim on EthereumUsually claimable within about 1–3 hours

Using the MayaScan Bridge

  1. 01

    Deposit M3G

Approve the Inbox to move M3G, then deposit. The same amount is credited on MAYA CHAIN after Ethereum finalizes — usually 15–20 minutes. All M3G on MAYA CHAIN is backed by M3G locked on Ethereum.

  2. 02

    Deposit an ERC-20

Pick USDC, USDT, WETH, WBTC, DAI, LINK or paste any Ethereum token address. Approve the gateway, approve the delivery fee in M3G, then deposit. First deposit of a token creates its contract on MAYA CHAIN.

  3. 03

    Withdraw and claim

Start a withdrawal on MAYA CHAIN, wait for the challenge period, then open the Claim tab and release assets through the Outbox. Claims need a little ETH on Ethereum and are not automatic.

Gateways

Tokens move through gateways connected by a gateway router on each chain.

  1. 01

    Standard ERC-20 gateway

Any Ethereum ERC-20 without another gateway. Works without permission. On MAYA CHAIN the token is a standard bridged token that only the gateway can mint and burn.

  2. 02

    Custom gateway

For tokens that need their own MAYA CHAIN contract or custom logic. The issuer registers its token and gateway with the router.

There is no WETH gateway: ETH itself is not bridged as MAYA CHAIN's native currency. WETH can still be bridged as a normal ERC-20. Tokens with fee-on-transfer, rebasing balances, or transfer restrictions should not use the standard gateway without a custom design.

Safety tips

  • Use only scan.mayachain.io and the addresses on the Contract addresses page.
  • Bridge a small test amount first.
  • Keep some ETH on Ethereum for approvals, deposits and claims.
